IDLIB – Twenty children and 50 adults were killed after a chemical attack in rebel held Idlib yesterday which the West blames on the regime in Damascus. Last week, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in a major departure from America’s position in the Syrian conflict said it was up to the Syrian people to decide whether President Bashar Al Assad should leave.

ANKARA – Turkish PM Tayyip Recep Erdogan says Turkey is prepared to attack Daesh capital of Raqqa and has the approval of America. Syria regards all it’s territory as sovereign. UN says 100,000 people have displaced in fighting between the Syrian government and rebels in central Hama over the last eight days.

SYRIA’S army backed by Russian airpower has launched what reports say is it’s biggest offensive since Palmyra. A newspaper said this was a race to secure control of the Daesh held ‘capital’ before the US backed Kurdish rebels. Syria’s government denies this. Meanwhile, US backed Iraqi forces remain bogged down in Daesh held Falluja.

HEZBOLLAH say Mustafa Badreddine was killed by an Israeli airstrike. He is the brother in law and cousin of Imad Mughniyeh who the Washington Post reported had been killed by a CIA -Mossad operation in 2008. Hezbollah is backing Assad in the Syrian conflict and the Houti militias in Yemen.
