PARIS – Video of Brahim Abdeslam entering Comptoir Voltaire Restaurant on November 13 was broadcast on French TV.  No one was killed in the attack except the bomber. 130 were killed and 350 injured in a series of attacks on targets in Paris that included the STADE DE FRANCE and Bataclan Music Hall

DIMA al Wawi from West Bank was arrested by Israel’s military as she was on her way to school. She was sentenced to four months in prison on February 18. Israel says she confessed to planning a stabbing attack at a settlement. At 12 she was one of the youngest Palestinians in Israel’s prisons.

JERUSALEM – Settler Yosef Haim Ben David, 31, had claimed he was mentally ill, however an Israeli court ruled he was sane and will sentence him next month. Mohammed Abu Khdeir,15, was kidnapped from east Jerusalem St and found dead in July 2014. He had been burned alive. Two other men have been sentenced to life and twenty years for the killing. BELOW his parents plant flowers to mark the spot where he was murdered.

Mohammed Abu Khdeir’s murder was followed by the assault on Gaza by Israel which resulted in over 2,100 deaths – including at least 551 children. Some 201 Palestinians have been killed by Israel since October 1 in the latest round of violence in the West Bank.

BRAZIL – A constitutional congressional committee has voted to impeach Dilma Rousseff. The vote is symbolic, but is seen as a test of what will happen on 17/18 April when the lower house will decide on whether to send the matter to the Senate. Should proceedings get that far, then BRAZIL’S President could be suspended of her powers and put on trial. BRAZIL’S economy has suffered from falling commodity prices and a fall in demand from China. There have been protests for and against the socialist government of Dilma Rousseff.
