TEL AVIV – US Secretary of State John Kerry said the two-state solution to the Palestine-Israel conflict ‘was being destroyed before our eyes.’ He said Benjamin Netanyahu was leading the most right wing coalition in Israel’s history and that was leading to one state. Kerry said the US couldn’t ‘defend and protect Israel if a viable two state solution is destroyed.’ The US abstained in a UN resolution condemning Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank.
