UK – MPs approve Chancellor George Osborne’s Budget by 35 votes – 310 to 275. The Chancellor announced that disability cuts would not go ahead following the resignation of Work and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith who said benefit cuts were political and were aimed at those who ‘won’t vote for us’.

ATTACKS on Zaventem airport and MAELBEEK metro in Brussels early today. Officials say 13 killed at airport and 15 at metro. There were two explosions at the airport and were followed by a blast on the metro on hour later. Images from attacks on Brussels airport.
