ADEN – Saudi Arabian diplomats have fled Aden. Saudi Arabia says its supporting President Mansour Hadi who has fled to Saudi Arabia as rebels advance towards Aden. Eighteen people are reported in social media to have been killed in air strikes so far. Arab League meeting at Sharm al Sheikh expected to discuss ground invasion by joint Arab force.

Turkey backs Gulf campaign in Yemen #YemenCrisis

YEMEN – Turkey said it backed Saudi airstrikes against advancing Houthi rebels, and warned Iran to stay out of Yemen. In a statement, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Emirates said the action was designed to protect Yemen and prevent the region becoming ‘a tool of foreign powers’.

Saudi troops ‘amassing’ on Yemen border as rebels advance towards Aden #YemenCrisis

ADEN – Egypt and Saudi Arabia may use air strikes in Yemen as President Mansour  Hadi is reported to have fled by boat. Rebels have seized control of the country’s international airport in Taiz and the largest military base, and are advancing on Aden where the President has a compound.
