PHILIPPINES – Rodrigo Duterte the colourful and controversial President of Philippines blamed the presence of US troops for the Islamic insurgency in the south. He also showed pictures of how the US conquered the Philippines in 1900 to make his point. Duterte who also once described President Barack Obama as ‘a son of a bitch’ has been improving Philippines relations with China.
