WASHINGTON – The Saudi Arabian Royal Family has threatened to sell off over $75BN of US assets  should Congress pass the bill which would blame the kingdom for the 9/11 attacks. Critics doubt whether Saudi Arabia will follow through on it’s threat as it would hurt the kingdom itself. The bill is backed by Democrats and Republicans – including Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. Obama said he would using the veto because it could open the way for citizens from other countries suing the US.

JERUSALEM – Settler Yosef Haim Ben David, 31, had claimed he was mentally ill, however an Israeli court ruled he was sane and will sentence him next month. Mohammed Abu Khdeir,15, was kidnapped from east Jerusalem St and found dead in July 2014. He had been burned alive. Two other men have been sentenced to life and twenty years for the killing. BELOW his parents plant flowers to mark the spot where he was murdered.

Mohammed Abu Khdeir’s murder was followed by the assault on Gaza by Israel which resulted in over 2,100 deaths – including at least 551 children. Some 201 Palestinians have been killed by Israel since October 1 in the latest round of violence in the West Bank.

KUNDUZ – Hundreds of Taliban fighters are reported to be attempting a seizure of the northern Afghan province. The Taliban seized control of KUNDUZ last year before eventually being repelled. During that attack American airstrikes hit the only hospital in the area – run by the MSF, Medicin San Frontiers.
