MINNESOTA – US justice department and army have halted work on constructing the pipeline despite a US judge refusing to block the oil pipeline.  The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and 200 tribes fear the proposed pipeline  will impact on waterways.

WISCONSIN – Donald Trump accused his Presidential rival of bigotry and only seeing votes in African Americans. Clinton, he claimed, had set herself up against the police. Trump called for more police and law enforcement. The real victims of the violence in Milwaukee that resulted from the shooting  of a black man Sylville K Smith by police were, said Trump, African Americans who because of Democrat control of cities suffered from ‘more crime, more broken homes and more poverty.’
