UKRAINE – Mariupol is placed between Crimea which was recently annexed by Moscow and mainland Russia. Fighting here centres on fears that Russian separatists will open a link from Mariupol to Russia. Several Grad missiles are reported to have hit an open market in the coastal city during exchanges between Ukranian forces and REBELS.
