SHEIKH NASRALLAH was speaking on the fifteenth anniversary of Israel’s withdrawal from south Lebanon.
SYRIAN STATE TV says a helicopter crashed killing everyone on board at the Kweiras army base in Aleppo. Rebels say they shot it down. And in Damascus a brigadier general and six bodyguards were killed after a bomb attack for which Ahrar al Sham claimed responsibility.

Somali MP shot dead in Mogadishu #SomaliaCivilWar

YUSUF Diri was killed by gunmen in his car. Somalia’s capital has seen a number of attacks since al Shabab were pushed out of Mogadishu by African peacekeepers in 2011. The current Somali administration is backed by the US who conduct drone strikes against the militants who they say are an affiliate of al Qaeda.

Archbishop Oscar Romero to be beatified in San Salvador #OscarRomero

OSCAR ROMERO was shot dead by an assassin in March 24, 1980 whilst delivering mass at a Cancer hospital during El Savador’s civil war. His beatification today is seen as the final step towards full sainthood.
