WEST BANK – Israel says girl was trying to stab a guard near a West Bank settlement. 156 Palestinians have been killed by Israel since October. Sweden and Human Rights groups have condemned Israel’s actions as ‘extrajudicial killings’. Israel says most of the dead are attackers.

BARROW – CPS will review Poppi Worthington’s file after a family court ruled her father had assaulted her. Poppi,13 months old, was found dead in December 2012. Her father was arrested but later told no charges would be brought against him. The judge at the family court criticised Cumbria Police who had thrown away some of the evidence.
