GERMANY – Angela Merkel’s Christian Socialists held onto Saxony-Anhalt – but lost at Rhineland and Baden-Wurttemberg. The Right wingers AFG made gains in all three with the biggest coming at Saxony-Anhalt. AFG want to stop migrants entering Germany and to secure German borders. Despite their success they remain a minority party having not won a single state – the Green Party winning at Baden-Wurttemberg and Social Democrats at Rhineland – Palatinate.
