SWEDEN, Stockholm – Mouhannad Droub appeared on a video posted on Facebook in which he kicked and beat a captured Syrian soldier whose hands and feet were tied in May/June 2012. The video was used as evidence against him at Stockholm court. He was given a five-year prison. Droub, 28, who was a member of the free Syrian Army said he had been coerced into his actions. He was granted asylum in Sweden in 2013.
