Latif Mehsud, second in command to slain Taliban leader, Hakimullah Mehsud, is one of three prisoners who have been handed over to Pakistani authorities by the US, reports say.
Pakistan has confirmed that Latif is one of the released men that were held at Baghram Airbase. Hakimullah was killed earlier this year by a US drone strike after the Pakistani government entered talks with the Tehreek-e-Taliban. But the US military has not confirmed the identities of the released men.
