WESTMINSTER – Malcom Rifkind also steps down as UK Parliament chairman of the intelligence and security committee. He will not stand as a Conservative MP at the general election in May. His resignation follows a newspaper sting in which he appears to offer his services to a Chinese company in exchange for cash. He along with the Labour MP Jack Straw who was also filmed in the same Daily Telegraph/Dispatches investigation and who are also former UK foreign secretaries deny any wrong doing.
