LARNACA  – Hijacker named as Ibrahim Samaha within Arab media as an Egyptian national. He is reported to be wearing a suicide belt. Cyprus media reporting his ex wife is Cypriot. All passengers released except 7 crew and four passenger, say EgyptAir. Hijacker has made no demands. The plane was diverted to Larnaca after leaving Alexandria en route to Cairo.

BRUSSELS – Man identified as Faycal C has been released for lack of evidence. 35 people were killed after attacks on Brussels airport and metro last Tuesday. 300 were injured.

LAHORE – Death toll at the Gulshan-i- Iqbal Park bombing  rises to 72. 300 were also injured.  A splinter group from Pakistan Taliban said they were behind the attack which is thought to have been a suicide bombing. They said they were targeting Christians who were celebrating Easter.

PALMYRA – Daesh bunker discovered by Hezbollah fighters who along with Russian airpower and special forces have helped Syria push the terror group out of #Palmyra. Syrian army reported to be searching for booby traps and explosives left by #Daesh who were claiming to still hold parts of the ancient city
